Nature of Work

Construction of rehab sites in the city of Buffalo, in partnership with lower income families.  Volunteers will be assigned interior or exterior tasks depending on the stage of the building process, weather, and other factors. Tasks can range from gutting and general carpentry tasks, to drywall installation, drywall finishing, painting, and trim work.Vinyl siding and other exterior tasks occur as well.

Group Criteria

Volunteers must be sixteen years or older to participate. For every 5 volunteers under 18 years of age, there must be one working adult over the age of 21. Our affiliate can best accommodate groups up to 20–25 people.

Donation

A suggested donation of $100 per person/week will assist in this housing ministry.

Dates Available

Work times are available year round. Book early to get the week that best suits your group. Weeks in June, July, or August are suggested.

Housing

Low cost housing is available at a local college in the summer and year round at a retreat center. These accommodations need to be booked as early as possible.

Leisure Activities

Information about local attractions will be available.  We are within 30 minutes of Niagara Falls. There are many free summer activities in the area.

Project Provides

Orientation (to work site and to safety policies), site supervision, materials and supplies, and information about local sights and activities.
