Thank you for donating to the Buffalo ReStore!

Your donation will be used to build a Habitat home, or will be sold in one of our ReStore locations. Funds raised through our ReStore Program support the construction and rehab of homes for hardworking families.  Please review the following guidelines before making a donation, or requesting a donation pick-up.

Desirable donations:

  • Kitchen Cabinet Sets (whole sets, partial sets, and individual cabinets)
  • Appliances
  • New/sales-floor furniture
    • Hutches
    • Buffets
    • Dressers
    • Couches/love seats
    • Chairs
    • Dining sets
  • New Building Materials
  • New Hardware
  • New Windows (vinyl and wood)
  • Countertops (non-Formica)
  • Doors
    • Solid core with frames
    • Exterior entrance with frames
    • Hollow core with frames
    • Sliding glass or French doors
Items not accepted:  
  • Books and/or magazines
  • Children’s toys and/or furniture
  • Clothing, drapes, curtains, and/or linens
  • Curtain- and/or shower-rods
  • Dishwashers
  • Under-mount sinks, cast-iron sinks
  • Faucets (no sinks with faucets)
  • Hot water tanks
  • Mattress’ and/or box springs
  • Medical equipment
  • Mirrors without a frame
  • Organs and/or pianos
  • Paint
  • Used blinds
  • Used carpet
  • Used shower doors
  • Water beds and/or water bed frames
  • Window sashes
  • Bed frames, footboards, and/or headboards
  • Office desks
  • Electric stoves older than five-years-old
  • Entertainment centers/TV stands
  • Used and/or cracked tiles or flooring; miscellaneous tiles
  • Christmas trees and/or holiday décor
  • Dirty and/or broken glassware
  • Used and/or not in original packaging fasteners (screws, nails, lag bolts etc.)
  • Used electronics
  • Used and/or warped wood

    To make a donation: Donations may be dropped off at either ReStore location during normal business hours. To schedule a donation pickup, please call 716.852.6607 and follow the prompts.

    Please note: All donations will be inspected before they are accepted, and we reserve the right to refuse any donation. The Buffalo ReStore will not accept any items, furniture, or building materials that are broken, damaged, warped, outdated, torn, overly-worn, dirty, and/or that are covered in pet hair. Donated items should be in good condition and full assembled. Loose items in large quantities (such as tiles or flooring) should be bundled.
