A Note from the Habitat Buffalo Team:

Things are changing quickly for all of us, and we want to share with you how our organization is moving forward in response to COVID-19.

Most of our administrative team is working remotely. Our office will remain open by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please feel free to give us call (716.204.0740) or send us an email (info@habitatbuffalo.org).

We are closed to all volunteers for the foreseeable future. We have canceled all events and volunteer opportunities through the end of April. Our construction staff is working to make progress on our current projects. They are taking extra precautions to stay safe, working independently with little interaction with others.

Both ReStore locations are currently open, and are more important than ever – funds raised from the ReStore will give us a safety net, as many of our homebuyers are facing layoffs and may fall behind during this crisis.  We are limiting the number of shoppers in our stores, and taking extra precautions to keep our staff safe. We will continue to accept donations, but will no longer go inside of homes to pick up. Items will be collected from opened garages or should be left outdoors. Donated items will be disinfected and kept in a clean space for four days before being placed on the floor for sale. In the coming days, we will begin to sell items from our ReStore online with options for pickup or front-door delivery

Like the rest of our community, we are making difficult decisions. We will continue operating this way for as long as we are able to be safe and productive. We expect that things will continue to change, and we will do our best to keep you posted. In the meantime, please stay safe out there.

Thank you for all of your support, and for all the ways you show that we are truly the City of Good Neighbors.
